When I was giving Tyler the jars he really like the cauliflower cheese, can't remember which company/brand did that one, think it may have been Heinz or Hipp organic. Well for the past month and a half I have been making my own food for Tyler, thought I'll give cauliflower cheese ago, both me and my partner don't like it, I think it because it really milky, but Tyler loves it and can't get enough of it.
I got this recipe from mums net.
Prep time:
Cook time:
Serves:8
Ingredients
30gcheese, grated
120mlfull-fat milk
3cauliflower
15gbutter
1 tbspplain flour
3broccoli florets
Method
Simmer or steam the cauliflower and broccoli until tender and drain.
Melt the butter in a pan, stir in the flour and add the milk very slowly, stirring continuously until the sauce has thickened.
Remove from the heat and add the cheese.
Stir in the cauliflower and Broccoli and mash with a fork or puree (dependant on the age of the child).
Handy Hint
Don't let the sauce come to a boil as it will make it runny. If you keep stirring on a low heat then it will eventually thicken.
