The wait is over.

So I have not posted in a while, so I thought I'll post an update with what has been happening.

On 12th August I had a 38 week midwife appointment and while I was there my midwife told me that I had a protein showing in my urine and she phoned up triage as my 36 week my blood pressure was high. When she phoned up triage, they told her for me go in and get check over with blood pressure etc. Well they said they want me to stay in the women's hospital over night to see how I go, and my blood pressure did not come down and protein was still showing, I had swelling in my feet and hands too, so they was worried that I was showing signs of preclampsia.
So on 13th they induced with me with a pessary tablet and they ended up leaving it in until 14th at 7pm. They said I was 1cm and will be put down for a difficult waters breaking, and as I was high priority I was at the top of the list for waters being broken, by 9pm I got told I will be having my waters broken in the next hour. By 10:30pm I was going down to the delivery room, to have my water broken, I had to have gas and air for that as I only have a small pain threshold, I also ended up having a epidural, however it was hitting a nerve all night and my partner and mother had to keep rubbing one section of my thigh as it was in pain, due to the nerve and I was in this pain from about 12am to at least 9 to 10pm nearly 12 hours. When the midwifes swapped over the new midwife that came on shift said I shouldn't be on gas and air with an epidural, so she went to get another person to have a look and they said it has been put on a nerve and has to be re done, I was really upset and did not want to have it done again, but ended up having it done again and it was loads better, I just wanted to sleep as I was not in pain no more and my partner and mother was relieved. From 2pm to 6ish pm my baby was stuck at 8cm and his heart rate was low on the monitor, but they kept on doing blood test from his head and came back that he was fine, but they said I had to have a c section, which I was worried about but had to go through it. By 7:13pm on 15th August, my baby boy was born weighing 7Ibs and 11oz. The bloke who done my epidural was there and he asked me if I knew the gender of my baby and I said yes a boy and he came back with he is definitely a boy. My partner held him first while I was being stitched up as there was no space for our boy to lie on my chest and the screen was right near my face.
People was saying I went though a lot and was asking me if I would do it again and I was like yes, as thinking about it, it was not to bad and I got a beautiful boy out of it.
The whole downfall of the experience was some of the midwives and the ward they put me on was absolutely hot and I just could not concentrate with how hot it was.

Here is a picture of Tyler Lewis after he was born.

Here is a picture of him a couple of days old when he got home.
