Graco Evo travel system

When found out I was pregnant, we have been looking at pushchair, I wanted something lightweight and easy to maneuver round, also something easy to fold down and open back up. My mother said she will buy the pushchair, which I was thankful. We went toys r us, mothercare and kiddicare, when we went to kiddocare my partner was checking out the folding down system and we came across the graco Evo, as soon as my partner folded it down in seconds we both fell in love with it. So we got it.

I wanted colour so I picked the chilli one as its for a boy and girl. We didn't buy it with the carry cot as the pushchair can lie flat and face the parent.

My little boy was born I couldn't wait to use it, as soon as I was out of hospital, we had to go back, so Tyler can have a scan on his back, as he had a deep dimple and they wanted to check it out. All was good. So we used the base with car seat and we loved it.

I can't compare it to other pushchairs as it the only one I have had. My partner has started to not dislike it, but have notice some bad points with it, as well I have. For my partner the handle is too low down and you can't adjust the handle, my partner is 6ft 3, and his feet keep kicking the fame, he has size 14 (UK) feet. So he has to walk at the side when pushing. I have found that even thou it has a bigish basket when using the pushchair seat section and is lying flat it is hard to get bags underneath it, as it lies low to the basket, maybe it be different if it was in the sitting up platoon and facing outwards, but for now as a baby I prefer Tyler facing me and lying flat.

Overall I am glad I got the pushchair, but as Tyler is our first baby and haven't tested out other pushchairs I like it for now.

Vampires suck

So on 15th November, I went to the new Alexander theatre to watch a show called vampires rock, they have been going since 2004 but have read they are finishing next year. As you can tell by the title I did not enjoy it one bit.

The story line was short, and changed to quickly. It is ment to be about a vampire trying to find his bride, it starts off with the main character singing in his club, and he has a janitor, I don't know what he was ment to be, didn't know if he was a vampire or a zombie, he looked more like a zombie, and he sings a song, and then a school girl comes into the club, wanting to sing, she sings her song looking all innocent with her coat and hat on, but looks like she is wearing nothing underneath, so not so innocent. Then I think the janitor rips her hat and coat off and she looks like a slut. Don't forget she is ment to be of school age, I'm assuming she would be 16 so be of legal age to have sex, otherwise this vampire would be classed as a pedophile. Plus, if I went to school dresses the way she does, ill get called a slut and teachers will send me home to put on more appropriate clothing, so its not a realistic story.

When they was talking, couldn't hear what they was saying half the time, and I'm not saying they are bad singers they can sing, but the main character I couldn't hear what he was singing, and the music was way too loud, it was overpowering his voice. As for the woman who was ment to be a school girl, she can sing, but felt like she was doing karaoke, as she sounded too much like Bonnie Tyler, she didn't not have her own style to her voice.

Then you got the sex jokes which you did has teenagers, maybe because I've not long came out my teenage years and feels like yesterday that I was doing them jokes they wasn't funny at all, they was old and pathetic, or maybe I have a fucked up mind.

The best bit was probably the ending, when they got people up on the feet, "rocking out". However they ruin some amazing classic rock/metal songs.

I know this is a bad review don't get me wrong people enjoy watching them, and I'm not saying they can't sing, especially if they ate still going 10 years on, but it wasn't my cup of hot chocolate, I say hot chocolate as I do not like any other hot drink.

Penguins

So if you remember I brought some needle felting kits from hobbycraft and I brought some penguins to do, well I have done them and changed them into Christmas tree decorations to hang on the tree. I have also put them both on etsy, hoping people will buy them, I think I'm going to change my etsy shop into a Christmas theme base shop. Have it open between September to February, and see how I go from there. Obviously this year I won't do any good as I'm not going to be advertising as such, being a new mum and all, my main priority is Tyler, but when he gets older and playing with toys on his own and I have more time to dedicate my time with my etsy shop etc I will make it look a lot better.

TShirts

Brought some tshirts the other day, from a well known supermarket, ASDA. It is own by Walmart, I've never been to America, but my partner has and he has said Walmart is amazing, you can get everything under on roof. In ASDA you get most basic things, but not everything.
The New York top I got is only £5 and the red top I got for £8. I brought them has my other tops are tight round my belly after having a baby.

Christmas Crafts

Yesterday I went out with my nan and mum, to a garden centre called webs, and they have a hobbycraft shop inside, so I went in to have a look and ended up buying some roving wool and then I saw these Christmas kits. They are both needle felting and I have been getting into that lately. They both was £3 or 3 for 2 offer, which I did get felted owl Christmas tree decoration kit, however they did not seem to have it on their website, hence the no picture of that kit. I am really looking forward to making them all and will show pictures of them once I have finished, was going to try and sell them on Etsy, before Christmas.

I love crafting, I started off doing card making then taught myself crochet, then jewellery making after that it was quilting and now it is needle felting. I always go through phrases of which one I prefer too. If you can't tell I prefer needle felting at the moment, probably because don't need a lot of stuff, just the foam, needles, and the wool and any other added things if needed.
If you are into crafts what craft is your favourite or which one do you do if you only do one?

Burgundy Crush

Okay so the other day I tried to upload this post, but it wouldn't upload so here is my second attempt at it. I went to Superdrug and brought some nail varnishes, all Barry M apart from one which was Miss Sporty clear, to use has a base coat and top coat, as Superdrug did not have Barry M clear.

Anyways out of the matte collection they have currently have I brought Burgundy, Vanilla and Expresso, I have wore the burgundy one, and I really like it, I mainly got it to match some trousers my mother brought me. I have also wore the vanilla, but I paired this up with Barry M royal collection Duchess nail paint, and put this on my wedding fingers, when the vanilla is on the others as I think they really go together, as the colours are similar.

I'm hoping to try the others soon as well, when I've got time to paint my nails, as with little man, who is currently 9 weeks, takes up most my time and when I have free time I am tired or cleaning, or catching up on programmes I have missed.

5 Weeks

Wow, its 5 weeks tomorrow since I've had Tyler. I had highs and lows, since after a terrible low about 2 weeks ago its been pretty much high ever since and hopefully it will stay like that.
Tyler is growing fast and putting on weight beautiful the health vistor said last week, he was 7Ibs 11oz when born, but he weighs 9Ibs and 9oz when he was last checked which was last week. The health vistor also said he is showing signs of colic, as he has a gassy stomach and he gets irritable when trying to push out the gas or his poo at times.
We also got his birth registered.
I still can't believe that he is here and how bloody gorgeous he is.
I can't wait till he can crawl and walk and play football in the park. But for now I cherish the time I have with him as a small adorable baby, my baby, as people say they don't stay that small for long.

Sunday, 25 August 2013

The wait is over.

So I have not posted in a while, so I thought I'll post an update with what has been happening.

On 12th August I had a 38 week midwife appointment and while I was there my midwife told me that I had a protein showing in my urine and she phoned up triage as my 36 week my blood pressure was high. When she phoned up triage, they told her for me go in and get check over with blood pressure etc. Well they said they want me to stay in the women's hospital over night to see how I go, and my blood pressure did not come down and protein was still showing, I had swelling in my feet and hands too, so they was worried that I was showing signs of preclampsia.
So on 13th they induced with me with a pessary tablet and they ended up leaving it in until 14th at 7pm. They said I was 1cm and will be put down for a difficult waters breaking, and as I was high priority I was at the top of the list for waters being broken, by 9pm I got told I will be having my waters broken in the next hour. By 10:30pm I was going down to the delivery room, to have my water broken, I had to have gas and air for that as I only have a small pain threshold, I also ended up having a epidural, however it was hitting a nerve all night and my partner and mother had to keep rubbing one section of my thigh as it was in pain, due to the nerve and I was in this pain from about 12am to at least 9 to 10pm nearly 12 hours. When the midwifes swapped over the new midwife that came on shift said I shouldn't be on gas and air with an epidural, so she went to get another person to have a look and they said it has been put on a nerve and has to be re done, I was really upset and did not want to have it done again, but ended up having it done again and it was loads better, I just wanted to sleep as I was not in pain no more and my partner and mother was relieved. From 2pm to 6ish pm my baby was stuck at 8cm and his heart rate was low on the monitor, but they kept on doing blood test from his head and came back that he was fine, but they said I had to have a c section, which I was worried about but had to go through it. By 7:13pm on 15th August, my baby boy was born weighing 7Ibs and 11oz. The bloke who done my epidural was there and he asked me if I knew the gender of my baby and I said yes a boy and he came back with he is definitely a boy. My partner held him first while I was being stitched up as there was no space for our boy to lie on my chest and the screen was right near my face.
People was saying I went though a lot and was asking me if I would do it again and I was like yes, as thinking about it, it was not to bad and I got a beautiful boy out of it.
The whole downfall of the experience was some of the midwives and the ward they put me on was absolutely hot and I just could not concentrate with how hot it was.

Here is a picture of Tyler Lewis after he was born.

Here is a picture of him a couple of days old when he got home.

Buttons

So today I brought some green buttons from EBay. I'm hoping to do another little project before my son arrives. I'm going to do one of those photo frames with the first letter of his name in buttons stuck on card, to put on the wall. Thinking about it now I might make one for me and my fiance to go next to my son. I can't wait for them come so I can start it. Will be 38 weeks pregnant on Saturday, but me and the rest of the family is getting impatient now, we want him to come now.

I didn't want to use blue buttons as they are traditional for a boy, however I have fallen in love with the Olive and Henri collection from Babies r Us and its green and yellow, so I thought I go with that colour. If I do to another two, one for me and my fiance I would do mine in pink and black and my partners red and black.

Who wants to be my best friend?

Okay I really really really want this programme, as I love making cards, and I have an idea to make thank you cards for people who got me items for my baby boy who is due in 18 days. I'll be to tired to actually make cards from scratch as in cutting and gluing everything together and making them all indiviual, so this little software will do wonders for me as I can easily quickly make a card and print off and still have some techniques what could be on a handmade card.
So if you want to be my best friend, could you buy it me?
I'm only joking, but I really really want it and waiting till I get paid and then bam I'm going to get it. Then I need some ink for my fiance's printer, which hasn't been used for a long time, so I may think if he is up for it on going halfs on a good quality printer, that's wireless so do t have to keep connecting up to it with wires. So if you know a good quality printer for making cards that look professional and is even good for pictures please let me know, nothing to expensive either, and in the UK.

Cute little outfit

I brought this really cute little outfit the other day. It is in the sale and also because I went to ASDA when they had 20% off all baby clothes I got it for roughly £8. I did not want to get it when it was £15 as I have been told half the time babies only wear outfits once or twice so it would have been a waste of money if my little man only wears it once. Anyways here is the picture of the outfit. They only have a few left for anyone want to get it.

I can't wait for my little man to arrive, approx 25 days till my due date, but a family member of mine says I might have him earlier.

I'm so retarded

I know I haven't posted in a while, I have just been so tired and not sure what to post up lately has I haven't done anything interesting, until today.

I went shopping to have a look at baby stuff before my little man arrives, me and my partner went to babies r us and got a baby monitor, and then we went to Asda, while their my partner wanted to have a look at air freshners for his car, and it put on under my nose for me to smell, and Instead of smelling it, I kissed it. I just burst out with laughter and haven't stopped laughing about in since.
My partner said that ill blame it on pregnancy brain, but I'm just retarded. The funny thing as well their was a bloke standing there, but luckly he didn't see, he just thought I was a freak for having a laughing fit afterwards.

So yes I am offically retarded.

I normally get bored when crochetting because its normally the same stitches thoughtout, but with this one I'm not getting bored and its just two basic stitches, double and treble. I might even make more and put on etsy.

Ill show you the finish product. Hopefully ill be done by Tuesday as it took me 3 days to do all that and got to double it and add extra 8cm on top so hopeully it will take me another 3 days.

Nail varnish

I have just done my nails, I haven't done them for ages since j knew I was pregnant, I haven't had the energy to sit and do them. However today I have decided to put nail varnish on my nails. I got this nail varnish last year from superdrug. It is by accessorize and the colour is mink. I really like the greyish puple colour.

I know its not that neat, I'm not very good at getting it neat.

All you can eat

So on Thursday, I went to Bicester shopping village. Did I buy anything? No, it is okay if you want to just look around, but if you want to buy something you need money and I don't mean just a few pounds, I mean about 3 months of your wages, depending on if you know you will buy clothes, they have shops from Clarks to prada and Gucci.

I then went to a Travelodge in Milton Keynes to check in. I ment up with my brother and his partner, I was with my partner and mother. We met up at Red Hot Buffet, a all you can eat resturant. Oh my gosh we ate. The food was average not great but not horrible. However I thought there was too much to pick from I wanted to try everything, including all the puddings. I would definitely go again. As for the service of waiters they made sure we was all happy and took our plates for us after we finished with them. I did notice that there was only two sets of knife and forks for each person on the table, so indont know if it because they trying to make us only have two main course, but we just nicked knifes and fork off an empty table.

I'm a winner

I won the euromillions yesterday!!!!

Okay I didn't win a lot, I had two goes on it and I won on both lines. I made my money back and doubled it. So I made a profit at least. But I would have loved to have won the jackpot but it wasn't ment to be.

However no one won the jackpot so its a rollover on Friday, and going to have another go at it. I probably won't win on that one, but as the saying goes you have to be in it to win it.

Drink

I just made this drink, well I made it yesterday with my fiance, I've been wanting to make my own milkshake after watching ones on YouTube, basically I just used what I had in the house at the time.

You will need -
Glass or cup
Blender
1 banana
Ice cream (I used vanilla)
Milk
Cocoa powder
Honey

I have put it has serve one, I did not actually measure everything, just done to what I thought was right.

I cut the banana into the blender, then I added approx 3 scoops of ice cream.
I then poured some milk into the blender, I didn't measure I just put in what I thought I need.
I added the honey again didn't measure it but I'd say I put about 2 teaspoons full and then I added the cocoa powder approx 3-4 teaspoons. Depends on how chocolatey you would like it, and as I am a chocoholic I put big heap of 4 teaspoons.
Then I blended it all together approx 2 mins all together. Using pulsing and then turning it on low and then high.

It was delicious, and now I want more, could taste the banana and honey and chocolate all seperate and they blended well together. Now I want to make a Oreo one.

If you make milkshakes yourself leave what flavours you do in the comments and look forward to hearing them.

Update on Scholl Express Pedi

So I have used the Scholl Express Pedi for 3 days so far, the hard skin I have had hasn't yet came back, however I still have some hard skin on my feet that hasn't came off but its not a lot, I also cream my feet after using it, to keep that soft throughout the day and night, which is so much better than what I was doing before, I use to just cream my feet, but by the end of the day they feel dry and hard again. Since using the scholl express Pedi they have stayed soft all day and even soft when I come to use the item. So if you suffer from dry hard skin I would definitely advise you to check it out.

10 weeks to go

I thought I'll show you my 20 week scan, which was roughly 10 weeks ago. Today I am 30 weeks and have 10 weeks left to go, I so can not wait, I am getting inpatient now. This will be my first child with my partner of 7 years on Monday. We found out that we are having a boy, we have called him Tyler. We both wanted a boy too.

So here is the scan.

Scholl Express Pedi

From when I was a child, I always had dry and dead skin at the bottom of my feet, I have tried all sorts of products to try and get rid of it. I used creams, bath creams and even a manual foot file, but with my  personality side that is lazy did not want to keep to a routine. So when I saw an advert on the tv for this product I was like I have to get that to try. So I did.

I brought the item from Superdrug for £29.99, as they have a save £10 on it. I ordered it on Monday and the item came today, and I could not wait to try it, so I got in the shower to softer my feet.

As soon as I got out the shower, I dried my feet and started using it, my partner was saying it will be rubbish and it won't work, we'll compare to a foot file it 110% times better as you don't lose energy scrubbing at the feet to try and get the dead skin off. I used it for approx 10  minutes on each foot and my feet became soft and look lovely after the first attempt. I am going to use it everyday for the next week and then gradually use it once or twice a week to maintain the softness, as well as creaming my feet everyday. The only downfall I have to say is that the item is rather pricy for what it is, as well as the refills. I have read that the first refill that you use sand downs quite quickly, but once maintain that softness of the feet you won't use it as often.

I think I will do another review on this item after I have used it for a while to see if my opinion has change. As I loved it from first use I couldn't help but wanting to write a review on it.
